Custom Email Domain
Updated over a week ago

Add your organization's Custom Email Domain to the system messages sent to your donors.

Anedot Enterprise customers have the ability to change the "From" field for your organization's system emails in Anedot to a custom domain like [email protected], instead of the standard @anedot email.

To do this, you can follow these steps to clear the Anedot domain in your DNS provider (e.g. CloudFlare, or maybe where you purchased your domain name)

  1. Add a CNAME from Anedot. domainkey.example.com to customer-email-dkim.anedot.com.

  2. Ensure that the SPF record for example.com contains include: customer-email-spf.anedot.com (if we are the only thing sending email from that domain, it should look something like "v=spf1 include: customer-email-spf.anedot.com ~all")

  3. If we are using a subdomain, the domainkey and SPF records must be set for the subdomain, not the parent domain.

Once you clear the email domain, please contact our Support team here. Our team will complete the Custom Email Domain setup for you on our end.

Note: The Custom Email Domain will be used in place of Anedot's default email for Donor Receipts and the Abandoned Actions feature.
