What do I need before applying for an account?

What's Needed at Signup?

We value privacy and want to keep everyone safe. In order to accept donations using Anedot, we must verify your identity. We collect the following information in order to verify your identity:

  • Entity Legal Name
  • Entity Type
  • Valid tax ID number (invalid numbers are not acceptable)
  • Legal address
  • Physical address
  • Legal contact (Treasurer or another individual to serve as a principal on an account)
  • Email
  • Phone number
  • Bank account information (to transfer funds)

Nonprofit Organizations and Education Institutions

  • IRS Letter CP-575
  • Annual Report
  • IRS Determination Letter
  • Articles of Organization
  • Certificate of Good Standing (from Secretary of State)

Churches

  • IRS Letter CP-575
  • Articles of Organization
  • Certificate of Good Standing (from Secretary of State)

Political Organizations

  • Election Filing Document

Vendors

No credit card is needed to sign up with Anedot. However, a bank account is required to receive funds.
