Using Source Codes on Anedot

Using Source Codes on Anedot

The following explains how to use source codes with your Anedot campaigns.

Hosted Form (Best Practice)

When using hosted forms, whether using the provided Anedot url or using a custom domain, you can append amount, source code and other parameters to the end of your url. In the below example, we pass an email campaign code as a source code so that we can track success rates of a particular email campaign.

Example (using Anedot provided URL):

When using an iFrame, you'll need to jump through a few more hoops to get things working, but it is doable. You'll first need to make sure you are using the advanced embed code. Then, you'll be able to add the source_code parameter to the end of your URL.

Tracking Source Codes on Anedot

You can view source codes that have been used in two different places: (1) in the transaction area using the filter in the sidebar, and (2) by using the export file.

Note for WordPress users:

WP editor will sometimes encode the advanced embed code improperly. This will cause the URL params that are normally passed to the embedded form not to get to the form correctly.
