Unsubscribe / Contact List Removal

Receiving unwanted emails, texts, or mail? Learn how to unsubscribe from contact lists, block spam, and contact the organization directly. Anedot does not send marketing messages or sell donor data.

Unsubscribe or Remove Your Contact Information

Anedot is an online fundraising platform and payment processor. We do not send marketing emails or texts, nor do we solicit donations on behalf of any organization. The only messages you may receive from us are legal transaction receipts or notices related to active donations.

We never sell, share, or lease donor data to third parties. However, organizations using our platform may collect and manage their own contact lists independently. If you’re receiving unwanted communications, here are steps you can take to unsubscribe or remove your contact information.

How to Stop Unwanted Communications

Unsubscribing from Emails

  • Look for an "Unsubscribe" link at the bottom of the email. This may be a small or styled link.

  • Use your email provider’s tools to block senders or mark messages as spam. Visit your provider’s help center for guidance.

Tip: Avoid opening attachments from unknown senders, as they may be unsafe.

Stopping Text Messages

  • Reply with “STOP” (only this word) to unsubscribe from most automated texts.

  • Be cautious when clicking links in text messages, even those labeled “unsubscribe.”

  • Block the sender using your phone’s settings.

  • If texts continue, contact your mobile carrier to report and block spam numbers.

Unwanted Physical Mail

  • The USPS offers tools to help refuse or remove unsolicited mail. Visit USPS.com for more details on opting out.

Contacting the Organization Directly

If you’re still receiving unwanted messages, consider contacting the organization itself, not Anedot or your mobile/email provider.

Here’s how:

  • Visit the organization’s website to find contact info or a contact form.

  • Clearly request removal from their contact lists. Be specific about the type of communication (email, text, mail) and include the information you want removed—but do not include sensitive personal data.

  • If no contact form is available, check the site’s Privacy Policy (usually linked in the footer) for email or mailing details.

  • Still can’t find contact info? Try messaging them through their social media profiles, which often allow for direct communication.
