What You'll Find in the Transactions Tab
Each row in the Transactions table displays detailed information about individual donation activity, including:
-
Donor Name and Contact Info
-
Date and Timestamp
-
Donation Page used for processing
-
Transaction Status
-
Amount, Fees, Vendor Fees, and Net Amount
-
Recurring Designation (Calendar & Dollar Sign icon)

At the bottom of the page, a summary row provides a running total of Gross Amount, Fees, Vendor Fees, and Net Revenue.

Donor Management Use Cases
-
Review Individual Donation Activity: Quickly search for and view detailed information about a specific donation—whether you're answering a donor inquiry, checking the donation source, or verifying payment method and fees.
Example: A donor calls to confirm their donation was processed. Use the Filter tool to find the donation by name or email and view the transaction’s status, amount, and payment method.
-
Generate Reports for Finance or Development Teams: Export detailed transaction records in CSV format for reconciliation, financial tracking, or uploading into third-party tools like Excel, QuickBooks, or donor CRMs.
Example: Your finance team requests a report of all donations from Q1, including donor details and net revenue. Filter by date range, then export a CSV to share with the team.
-
Identify Donors Who Covered Fees: Monitor how often donors opt to cover processing fees using the Donor Covers Fees icon in the Fees column.
Example: You want to assess the effectiveness of your "Cover the Fees" prompt. Export the data and analyze how many donors selected this option.
-
Filter by Page Performance: Use filters to quickly isolate transactions by donation page or tag—allowing you to evaluate the effectiveness of a specific fundraising appeal, campaign, or event.
Example: You recently launched a “Back-to-School Fundraiser” using a dedicated donation page. Use the Pages and Tags filters to view only the transactions associated with that campaign, helping you analyze total revenue, donor count, and average gift size.
-
Respond to Refund or Dispute Inquiries: Quickly access transaction records to verify refund history or assist with a chargeback investigation.
Example: A donor disputes a charge. Use the Transactions tab to confirm whether a refund was already issued and export documentation if needed.
Account Balance
Located above the Transactions table, your Account Balance reflects the Net Amount available for your next scheduled payout. Once a payout is processed, this balance resets to $0.00.

AVS Codes in Entries CSV Export
AVS (Address Verification Service) codes help verify if a donor's address matches their card on file.
Included in CSV exports, AVS codes are single-letter indicators such as:
Code | Meaning |
---|---|
A | Street matched; Postcode not matched |
C/Z | Postcode matched; Address not matched |
D | Both match |
F | Address matched; Postcode not matched |
J | Postcode and Address not matched |
N | No match |
Y | Postcode and Address match |
Anedot collects ZIP code only—not full billing address. AVS mismatches do not block transactions but may require manual verification if you're operating under strict compliance rules (e.g., political campaigns or nonprofits).
