Settings: Connected Accounts

Connected accounts are used to connect Anedot accounts for tandem actions, cross-sells, and third-party Billing Agreements.

The Connected Accounts feature is used to connect Anedot accounts that want to partner to fundraise together or for professional vendors to help manage their clients. This is used for tandem actions, cross-sells, and third-party Billing Agreements.

Connected Accounts is available to Owners and Billing Admins on Anedot accounts. If you do not have this permission level, please email the account owner so they give you access.

Here are the steps to connect accounts:

  1. Owner for Account 1 invites Account 2 to connect their accounts
  2. Owner for Account 2 goes into Settings -> Connected Accounts and accepts the invitation

Finding an Account UID

You will need the Account UID for the account you are looking to connect to your account. That can be found by any user on that account by looking at their URL after they login to the account. 

Here's an example of where you can find the Account UID:

Inviting an Account Owner to Connect Their Account

You will:

  1. Click "Settings" in the navigation bar
  2. Click "Connected Accounts"
  3. Click "Connect an Account"
  4. Type in the Account UID for the Account you would like to connect
  5. Click "Connect with Account"

Owner of Invited Account Confirms Invitation

The other account owner will:

  1. Click "Settings" in the navigation bar
  2. Click "Connected Accounts"
  3. Select your account from the "Incoming Requests" area
  4. Click "Approve"

Note: This request will be visible on your Connected Accounts section as an "Outgoing Request" and will show up on theirs as an "Incoming Request."

You will see Connected Accounts with a green link next to them under "Connected Accounts. Blocked Accounts will be listed under that section as well.
