Google Pay is a streamlined way to pay using your Google Account on the web. Google Pay is available for all Anedot customers!
Google Pay works on Anedot. No effort required. We handle things like "SDK," encryption, Content-Security-Policy settings, and enablement so you can focus on your supporters! Google Pay will automatically appear on your donation forms where available.
If you plan to promote, outside of your Anedot page, that you accept Google Pay, please refer to the Google Pay Web Brand Guidelines.
1. Do I need to do anything to enable Google Pay on my account?
Nope! Google Pay is automatically live.
If you would like to disable these features, you can submit that request here.
2. Who will see the option for Apple?
Anyone on a web browser or Android device who has not previously donated or has donated but does not have a DonorID will see the option to use Google Pay.
3. I am a political customer and do not see Google Pay as an option. Why is that?
For security purposes, Google Pay functions in standalone, hosted forms. Due to a number of technical and security implications, most providers such as Apple, Google, and PayPal will not allow these options via embedded forms. This is one of many reasons we encourage you to use hosted forms.
If you run into another situation where you do not see Google Pay as an option, please contact us at email@example.com.
