Custom Domain for Fundraising Pages
By default, Anedot provides a free, brandable URL for your fundraising pages. If desired, you can connect your own domain to create a more branded experience—particularly useful if you're running ad campaigns or want a custom look.
Why Use a Custom Domain?
For most organizations, a standard Anedot URL performs just as well. We've tested and found no impact on conversion rates between default and custom URLs.
You may want a custom domain if:
-
You are running significant Facebook advertising
-
You need conversion tracking enabled
-
You prefer a URL that reflects your organization (e.g.,
secure.yourdomain.com
Custom domain support is free of charge.
What Changes (and What Doesn’t)
-
You can use any subdomain—e.g.,
secure.yourdomain.com
,donate.yourdomain.com
, orgive.yourdomain.com
-
Both the standard Anedot URL and your custom domain will work
-
DonorID features (like saved cards and donor details) work across both domains
- Facebook Domain Verification: If you’re using Facebook Ads, you may need to verify your custom domain for tracking and attribution. You can follow Facebook’s guide here:
Verify Your Domain with Facebook
Important: You only need to verify the root domain (eTLD+1)—not the subdomain.
For example, if your custom domain issecure.anedot.com
, you’ll verifyanedot.com
.
