AnedotID: Login, Notifications, and Email Settings

This article provides step-by-step instructions for creating an AnedotID (login credentials), managing notification preferences, resetting a password, and updating the login email address.

Create an AnedotID

To apply for an account, a single user must create an AnedotID to complete the application on behalf of the organization.

An AnedotID consists of a personal email address and password. This login may be used to access one or multiple fundraising accounts. When creating an AnedotID, the user profile must include the individual's first and last name, along with a valid phone number for contact purposes.

Password Requirements: 

  • Must be 8 or more characters
  • Must be complex (Increase complexity by adding more words, letters, numbers, or special characters (!@#$%^&*))
  • Must not include your Name or Email
  • Password Confirmation must match

Each user needing access to the fundraising account must create their own AnedotID with a personal email and password. This ensures account security and proper access management.

Sharing login credentials is strictly prohibited and constitutes a violation of Anedot’s Terms of Service.

If an error is received while creating an AnedotID, it likely indicates that an AnedotID has already been set up. Use the following link to log in: https://anedot.com/login

Manage Notifications

Email notifications can be configured within the Notification Settings tab of an AnedotID account.

Notification settings are user-specific and can only be managed by the account holder. To modify settings for another team member, please contact them directly or reach out to Support.


Update Notification Settings

  1. Open the profile dropdown in the upper right corner.

  2. Select Notification Settings.

  3. In the Email Notification Settings section, open the dropdown menu.

  4. Choose either Adjust/Overwrite All Accounts or select a specific account.

  5. Customize the desired notification preferences.

  6. Click Save.


Notification Options and Descriptions

Notification Description
New donation received Alerts you when a donation is successfully processed.
Minimum in dollars Only receive alerts for donations above a set amount. Example: Set to $250 to be notified only for gifts over $250.
Donation receipt copy (BCC) Sends you a copy of each donor’s receipt (off by default). May result in duplicate emails.
Refund, Void, Reversal, or Chargeback Notifies you if a donation is refunded, voided, reversed (ACH), or charged back.
Chargeback reversal Alerts you when a chargeback is successfully reversed.
Expiring soon Notifies you when a donor’s payment method is about to expire. (Donors are also notified.)
Failed to process Alerts you when a recurring gift fails. (Donors are also notified and can update payment info.)
Cancelled Informs you when a recurring gift is canceled or deactivated. (Donors can also reactivate.)
Integration or Webhook Failed Notifies you of failed webhook or integration attempts. (Off by default; includes error details.)
Transfer received Notifies Admins and Super Admins when a payout is issued. Not available for Custom Permission Sets.
 

Not Receiving Notifications?

If you're missing notifications or messages from Anedot:

  • Check your spam or junk folder.

  • Add info@anedot.com, app@anedot.com, and help@anedot.com to your contacts.

  • Whitelist Anedot’s domain by creating a Gmail filter.

How to Whitelist in Gmail:

  1. Open Settings (gear icon), then go to Filters.

  2. Click Create a new filter.

  3. In the From field, enter @anedot.com.

  4. Click Create filter with this search.

  5. Check Never send it to spam, then click Create filter.


Reset Password

Request a Reset

  1. Visit anedot.com/login and click Forgot Password.

  2. Enter your email and click Reset Password.

The reset email (from app@anedot.com) may take up to 15 minutes. Only the latest reset link will work if you request more than one.


Set a New Password

  1. Open the reset email and click Change my password.

  2. Enter your new password and click Submit.

Password Requirements:

  • Must not include your Name or Email
  • Password Confirmation must match

Update Email Address

To update your email address, sign in to AnedotID.

If login isn’t possible or access to the current email is lost, contact Support for help.


Add and Verify New Email

  1. Open the profile dropdown and go to Login and Security.

  2. Enter the new email address and click Add.

  3. Check the inbox of the new email for a verification message.

  4. Click the Verify your email link.

  5. Return to Login and Security and click Make Primary next to the new email.

Once the new email is marked as the Primary Email, it becomes the login email for future sign-ins.
