A credit card decline can be very frustrating. We take security very seriously and are continuously working to ensure cardholder safety.
Here are some of the reasons a credit card may not go through:
Bank Authorization Failed
At times, a payment can fail because the bank or entity issuing the credit card has flagged a transaction as potential fraud. This can happen for an abnormally large transaction or one that doesn't align with typical spending habits.
When in doubt, you should call the number on the back of your card to ensure you authorize the transaction.
Card Type Not Supported
At Anedot, we do our best to support all card types including most American Express, Visa, Mastercard, and Discover credit cards. However, there will be very rare situations where we do not support a card. As an example, we do not support a JCB card.
