Chargebacks and Disputes

What is a chargeback?

A chargeback occurs when a cardholder files a dispute with her/his credit card company stating that a transaction is unauthorized and requests a return of funds. There are various reasons that the cardholder may initiate the dispute such as but not limited to: unauthorized, charge not recognized, changed mind, fraud, ect.

How Anedot handles chargebacks.

Anytime a cardholder initiates a chargeback, dispute or retrieval request with the credit card company, fees are charged. Anedot passes these fees along to the organization.

Chargebacks and Other Fees

Our specialists submit supporting documentation for retrieval requests and to challenge the chargeback or dispute on your organization's behalf. Whether a chargeback stands or is reversed, the fee is deducted from the organization's account. If the chargeback stands, the transaction in dispute will also be deducted from your account.
