Need to cancel a recurring donation through Anedot? Learn how to stop your commitment via email receipt or DonorID, and understand what to do if a same-day transaction needs to be voided.

How to Cancel a Recurring Commitment

If you’d like to stop a recurring donation, Anedot offers two simple ways to cancel your commitment—via your email receipt or through your DonorID account.


Cancel via Email Receipt

  1. Search your inbox for an email receipt from Anedot.

  2. Scroll to the bottom of the email and click the Cancel Commitment link.

  3. Follow the prompts to complete your cancellation.


Cancel via DonorID Account

  1. Log in to your DonorID using the same email address used for your recurring donation.

  2. In your dashboard, click the Commitments tab on the left.

Can’t see your donation records?
Your email must be verified before donation history is shown.
Check your inbox for a confirmation email or contact our team at DonorSupport.com if you need help.


Steps to Cancel a Commitment

  1. Find the commitment you’d like to cancel.

  2. Click the Actions button next to it and select Cancel.

  3. Provide a brief reason for the cancellation.

  4. Click Save.

You’ll receive an email confirming your cancellation.


Important Notes

  • Canceling a commitment will not affect past transactions.

  • If a payment was processed on the same day as your cancellation, and you’d like to stop it, contact our team at DonorSupport.com.
    Same-day voids can only be processed within 3 hours of the initial submission.
